COGS by Country and Quantity tutorial
This option allows you to set up your COGS based on several factors:
- The product (either by the product name overall or by the specific variants)
- The country the order was shipped to
- The quantity of the product/variant in an order
Should you use "product name" or "product variant"?
1) Use the Product Name if the quantity breaks apply to the product overall.
For example:
Product X has two variants. Variant A and Variant B
If any combination of Variant A and Variant B applies the quantity break use this option.
2) Use the Product Variant option if the quantity break only applies to the variant itself.
For example, If 2x of Variant A are ordered. The quantity break applies. But if 1x variant A and 1x variant B are ordered, the quantity break should not be applied.
To create each individual quantity break, this can be done by selecting:
- The product the quantity break applies to
- Entering the COGS amount for this quantity break.
- The country it applies to. If the country does not matter, "Worldwide" can be entered.
- The quantity level corresponds to the COGS amount.
To note, they would need to be entered for the different quantities ordered for a product (e.g. one, two, three).
