The COGS in the "Order breakdown" report are different than what is stated under "COGS." on the Dashboard?
The difference between these reports typically has to do with the refunds issued. When an order is refunded, the COGS total is decreased as it is assumed that the COGS for an order is returned to the merchant to be sent out again. This would cause a "decrease" in the COGS total.
- On the Dashboard report this is done on the date the refund was issued.
- Whereas for the Order Breakdown. This is done on the original order date and included with the original order total.
The Dashboard includes the refund on the day the refund was issued to match the Shopify analytics exactly.
